Why use TypersPad on Windows
Most of us keep a few notes open all day. A to-do list, a log file, a half-written email. TypersPad keeps them all in tabs, and they are still there after a restart.
It installs just for you, so you don’t need admin rights. It also adds itself to Open with and to the right-click menu, so any text file is one click away.

Syntax colours for 18 languages, like PHP, Python, JavaScript, JSON and Markdown.

Spell check in 38 languages
Dictionaries download once. After that, spell check works offline.
Sync if you want it
Connect your own Google Drive, and the same tabs open on your other PC, Mac or Linux machine.
Your text stays yours
TypersPad works fully offline. Your files and unsaved tabs stay on your computer.
If you turn on sync, your tabs go to your own Google Drive. They never pass through our servers, and we can’t read them.
The installer and the app are signed by Williation Technologies, so Windows can check they really come from us.
Installer or portable .exe
The installer works on Windows 10 and 11. It installs for your user only, adds TypersPad to the Start menu and to Open with, and asks before it updates itself.
The portable TypersPad.exe needs no install. Put it in any folder and double-click it. To update it, download a new copy.

Is TypersPad free?
Yes. TypersPad is free to download and use. You don’t need an account with us.
Do I need admin rights?
No. The installer only installs TypersPad for your own Windows user. The portable .exe needs no install at all.
Does it work on Windows 10?
Yes. TypersPad runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Does it update itself?
The installed version checks for updates when it starts, and asks you before it updates. The portable .exe doesn’t update itself. Download a new copy instead.
